Kathleen Myrtle BROWN
June 2, 1941 - June 17, 2017
It is in great sadness that we announce the passing of Kathleen Myrtle Brown (Beckman) who passed away at the Victoria Hospital, on June 17th, 2017 surrounded by loved ones. Kathy was born on June 2nd, 1941 in Paddockwood, Saskatchewan, where she grew up on the family farm. She enjoyed spending time at her cabin at Candle Lake SK., as well as scrapbooking her many travel adventures. Holidays were also extremely important to her, as she loved to spend time with her grandchildren. This was evident in the amount of photobooks and scrapbooks that she created. Her world revolved around her family and friends, all of whom she loved dearly. Kathy had numerous careers, of which include teaching, working as a Director of Blue Cross Blue Shield, Payroll at the Victoria Hospital, and a short stint as an Airline Stewardess that brought her and Bruce Brown together. They were married October 22nd, 1966. Kathy was predeceased by her husband Bruce, her parents Ken and Myrtle Beckman, as well as her mother and father-in-law, Mildred and Bruce Brown. She leaves to mourn her son Darrin (Darla) Brown of Prince Albert and their children Taran (Alicia) and Tiarra; daughter Lisa Rideout and her son Logan; her brothers, Elwin (Pat); Ray (Barlette); and John (Mindy); her sister Dianne (Kurt) Chesley; Brian Buchanan; and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
After Kathy retired she met her partner Brian Buchanan and they were able to travel extensively, cruising and dancing around the world.
