1933 – 2013

Rose passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at Victoria Hospital with family by her side. She was born into a large family on September 25, 1933 in Claytonville District to Nicholas and Malvina Popil. She married William Pichula in August of 1954, and together they were blessed with 4 children. William and Rose farmed together in the Weirdale District for many years. Upon William’s passing she retired from farming and moved into Weirdale and later Prince Albert. Rose always kept herself busy with bowling, fishing, gardening, bingo, crocheting and babysitting. Mom’s talent and love of crocheting made it possible for many of her crafts to find homes as far away as Africa. Her true passion was her family. Any time spent with family was precious to her. Rose will be lovingly remembered by her children Ron (Judy) Pichula, Don (Dawn) Pichula, Debbie (Ron) Wildey, and Ken (Tracy) Pichula; her grandchildren Christopher Pichula (Teri Giesbricht and her daughter Hailey), William (Susanne) Pichula, Michael Pichula (Michelle Michalcyia), Sarah Pichula, Robin (Julie) Wildey, Megan Wildey (Kyle Prince), Jessica Pichula (Alex Crowe and his daughter Kazeha), Scott Pichula; her great-grandchildren Nathan Wildey and Jeremiah Pichula; as well as numerous other relatives. Rose was predeceased by her husband William; her grandsons Benjamin Wildey, Adam Pichula and Joey Pichula. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm. on Friday, May 24, 2013 at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with Pastor Dennis Serfas officiating. Interment will take place at South Hill Cemetery. In lieu of other tributes memorial donations can be made to Children’s Wish Foundation or the Lost Angels Support Group. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray’s Funeral Chapel, Marianne Turcotte, Funeral Director.
