CARTER - Gweneth (Gwen) Mildred (nee Fysh) of Prince Albert and formerly of Moose Jaw was called home by her Lord on March 9, 2007 at 89 years, just two months shy of her 90th birthday. Gwen was born May 6th, 1917 in Moose Jaw just minutes after her twin sister Vera. She grew up on the family farm in the Crestwynd district. Gwen married Sydney Carter in 1941. They lived on the farm until moving to Moose Jaw about 1951. After Syd passed away in 1964 Gwen resided in Moose Jaw until 2002 when she moved to Prince Albert with her son, Garry. Gwen will be fondly remembered by her son Garry (MaryAnne); granddaughter Karen (Chris) Knutson; grandsons Jason (Brandee) Carter and Nolan (Danielle) Carter; great grandsons Cole, Kaleb and Joseph Knutson; brothers Cliff Fysh, Cyril (Thelma) Fysh and Barry (Maida) Fysh as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Gwen is now with her husband Sydney, the love of her life; son David; parents Eileen and Charles Fysh; sisters and brothers-in-law Pat and Bing Crosbie; Vera and Jarvis Bullied and sister-in-law Bernetta Fysh. Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 17, 2007 at The Salvation Army Church, #2 Wintergreen Drive, Moose Jaw, SK, with Col. Robert Chapman officiating. In lieu of other tributes, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or The Salvation Army Community Services, 900 Central Avenue, Prince Albert, SK S6V 4V3.
