Lenora was born November 9, 1925 in Hagen, Saskatchewan, lived in Peter Pond and Prince Albert for much of her life and most recently resided in Maple Ridge, BC.
Lenora was known as a true lady with incredible kindness and a supportive nature. She also had an impeccable fashion sense. Lenora’s pride and joy was her family. She and her son Brent had a close bond. Lenora lovingly passed on her cooking and baking skills to her granddaughters whose favorite are apple pie and ham pasties. She also enjoyed playing cards, golfing, knitting and crocheting and listened to hundreds of E-books. She loved to reminisce about what a good baby her son was, her cabin at Emma Lake, time at Waskesiu and growing up on the farm in Hagen.
Her family would like to thank the staff at Baillie House and Chartwell Willow Retirement Community in Maple Ridge. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the University of British Columbia Faculty of Medicine Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences www.support.ubc.ca/ophthalmology-fund . A celebration of life will be announced later and held in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan this summer where she will be laid to rest beside her late husband Kenneth James Phelps.
